Nenek boy

 27 Aug 2022

While on quarantine and a day before Ihsan and family flight, we were told of nenek boy's having pain.  He was sent to emergency in Ripas and straight away admitted.  After Dr's examination, he got hernia.

Dr told nenek to go for surgery on the day of Ihsan and family flight.  After 3 hours surgery, he was out and send to ward 6.  Alhamdulillah.  But only 2 same visitors are allowed for the day. We are sorry nenek, cause we can't visit you.  May Allah grand's nenek boy speedy recovery.  aamiin

Very busy morning for Aqeela and family.  These past 2 days, I sat on the stairs outside to be under the sun.  They said people with covid need to be under the sun.  So that's what I did.

While sitting on the stairs, from the glass window,  I can see Ihsan with his ummi and abah still doing last minute packing.  Ihsan was watching something on ipad.  When he saw me, he quickly went to the window.  Our fingers on the window but we can't touch or hold his litter fingers.  Looking at Ihsan via the glass window,  it felt so near but so so far away.  When he saw his grandpa and both their fingers touching the glass window, its like in a movie, so sad to see it.  Ihsan tried to push the frame to open the window to get to his grandpa, but its a fixed window.  Poor Ihsan!  

By 9.30am Hirzie parents came to pick up their luggages. By 11.30am we all went outside to say farewell to Ihsan and family.  Really wanted to hug them so bad, but having covid really spoilt everything.  We didn't even get to send them off to the airport for the 9.50pm flight tonite.  

1230pm they were at the airport to check in their luggages.  90KG!!  After all done, they ate lunch and went to Jerudong to rest.  They also called Ihsan great grandparents to say goodbye before their flight tonite.

Though we are not there to send them off, May Allah make every step of your journey, immigration and custom clearance an easy one. May you all safely arrive at your destination and all luggages are safe.  May the driver that pick you up a good gentleman and safely send you to your hotel.  May your stay there Allah grands good health, knowledge, rezeki that you can't imagine.  Aamiin  aamiin aamiin.

Once in a Lifetime - Covid

"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, 

You are the one who cures and there is no one besides YOU who can cure,

This week is very trying for me.

23 Aug 2022, body not feeling well so I took the self test swab - Negative.

24 Aug 2022, throat a little hurting, sweating, body aching, coughing.

25 aug 2022, throat really hurting, 5.35am took swab test - Positive. Start isolation!!

26 Aug 2022, thought the test kit was faulty, ask my sister to bring another one.  Test again - Positive.

symptoms is like normal flu and cough, no fever, taste ok, sweaty.

Nasreen swabbed bapa - Positive. Start isolation!

Poor Nasreen running around the house sending us our food etc.

What is sad for us is tomorrow Sat 27 Aug 2022 is a big day for Aqeel & family.  This date is where my daughter Aqeela and family with my only grandson of 15 month are going to move to UK for 3 years.  Worst part is we as grandparents didn't get to send them off at the airport or even hug or kiss them.  So very sad!  

Our thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

Outing with Usu

 01 Jun 2022 

Today is our (Usu and I) Doctor's review at Ripas.  Due to covid19, the review was cancelled twice.  

Usu picked me around 7am using her new Toyota Cross.

In the car we talked about lots of things as I have not see her since the Eid gathering.  With many people to attend to, hardly have time to sit down and talk to her.

In the car, we planned our journey properly so that we don't waste time.  Many places to stop by and to pick up stuff .  

It was a relief to hear from Dr Chong that results are all good.  We need to make appointment for another session again in July 2023.

After hospital we went to UNISSA to get the mushaf but it was closed due to they have conference at ICC.

So we went to Rimba to pick stuff that usu ordered.  After that we went to At Taqwa to ask about Haj.  Apparently, they will have pilgrims to Mekah in 2023 not 2022. So we left it at that since Usu was not informed of getting her haj slot in 2022.

Then we went to have lunch at 1 Riverpoint at Surf & Turf.  We ordered Yemeni Beef Mandy, mushroom soup (4 types of mushroom) and beef salad.  Both of us really enjoyed the food.  Very nice indeed! They start the buffet this week after 2 years due to covid19.

During our discussion in the car on the way to BSB, Usu complained of tummy pain and body ache. So I suggested for her to go for massage.  I contacted the lady, but she was fully booked.  But she came back saying she was available after 3.30pm.  Since we were in BSB, we just booked for Usu as I don't want her to suffer further. I can see she was in pain.

After lunch we went back to Jerudong for Zohor prayer and rest.  And Usu installed the door sweeper.  Alhamdulillah.

Usu ordered more of the door sweeper for pandan house.  Around 2.30pm we left Jerudong, and pick it up.  Then we went to the massage place.  I just waited for Usu there because the weather was hot.  I would rather stay in, than go out to the shops.

1 day outing with Usu was fun but tiring.

JPMC

 16 May 2022 (15 Syawal 1443)

Today we (Ihsan, Aqeela & me) went to JPMC.  We left 6.45am and arrived around 7.45am.  I was anxious about parking space due to we are on endemic stage and people starting to go back to work as normal.  If parking full, I have to drop them off  while I go back to the parking lot and go use the shuttle bus. 

Alhamdulillah, after registering, we waited to be called.  After all the necessary documentation and questions, Aqeel then went to ground floor for her x-Ray.  Ihsan & I remained on 1st floor and after his mom left he fell asleep.  After we saw the Dr and get the document for the Visa, we left JPMC to go to town.  Ihsan was asleep all the way to town to go for breakfast.

Ihsan was very good.

We went for lunch at Country Patch.  Ihsan saw kids and he was excited to see them.  Even though he was eating, he looked at them and say something which I can't make head or tail what it was.  Baby talk!

We reached home near to 2pm

Had a good outing with Ihsan and Aqeela today.  Alhamdulillah!

 

Visa Outing

25 May 2022 (24 Syawal 1443)

Today Ihsan, Aqeel and I left home for BSB for UK visa appointment around 0645.  We left early to avoid traffic.  Fortunately since we were early, the visa centre in town center at PGGMB building, was easy to get to.  We arrived 30 minutes early.  That was the building where we did our visa for umrah in 2019. 

Since it is early, so we went to the balcony to watch tamu Kianggeh, Brunei River, and the boats and cars passing by.  We also saw the new bridge i.e Sg Kebun Bridge.  Of course, we also took some pictures to remember us by.  Very nice view.

It took awhile at the visa centre.  Even though Aqeel had uploaded the necessary documents, when applied she has included the payment for scanning the printouts, so they did on her behalf.  

Ihsan of course seeing new surrounding, he wanted to look around.  I had to go back to the car to get the stroller,  Ihsan so heavy.  With the stroller I walked him around while waiting.  I brought him to the balcony couple of times so that he won't get bored.  While inside the visa centre, Aqeel fed him. During that time, the staff had done the scanned and upload, and wanted to take picture of Ihsan.  He was so sleepy and we had to wake him up.  Poor Ihsan!  It took a while to wake him up,

They informed no fast track now for visa as now the regulations is about 6 weeks to get approved.  May Allah make it easy for Aqeel & Ihsan's applications.  Aamiin.

After all done, we went for breakfast.  Trying to go to Gadong area but, car parking full.  So I droved to Country Patch and we had our breakfast.  Ihsan was asleep once we left the visa centre and carried him inside the restaurant and put him in the stroller.  Funny thing is, when the food arrived, he woke up!!  He ate with us and enjoyed it!!

A good outing today.

We have another outing with grandpa and Mushu, In Shaa Allah. 

p/s visa Ihsan finally got approved first week of August 2022.

Ihsan's check up

12 May 2022 (11 Syawal 1443)

Today  bringing Ihsan and his mom for Ihsan 12 month check up and injections at Liang Clinic.

On arrival at the clinic, I waited in the car due to covid they only allow the baby and mom since 2 years ago.

When they returned, the mom said Ihsan such a good boy.  Ihsan got 2 injections - one on each arm. Ihsan didn't cry!  He is so brave!! Bravo Ihsan!!

At the clinic, Ihsan was so loud said his mom, shouting at a girl and a boy and laughing at them but no one play with Ihsan.  Ihsan is a friendly baby and he wants friends to play with.  

I think Ihsan is  people and an extrovert baby!  He is not shy! 

When Ihsan in the car he read his book while sitting on his car seat.

Me Day with Ihsan

 9 May 2022 (8 Syawal 1443)

Today it was raining heavily.  I was supposed to meet my friend at Soon Lee Seria around 1030am to pick up my masks.  Due to the rain she told me to come another day instead.  I also have to go to Pandan to have "me day" with Ihsan as his mom has dental appointment

It was raining all the way to KB.  When I arrived, Ihsan was having his lunch.  Once he saw me, he wanted me to pick him up.  Tried to settle him so that he continued eating.  But he kept on taking out his feet from the high chair and doesn't want to eat.  So finally, I just pick him up and he sat on my lap.

After his mom cleaned him up, his mom got ready for the appointment.

So Ihsan slept from 2.45pm and at 3.30pm I tried to feed him his milk from the bottle.  Apparently, he push it away.  He is actually fully breastfeed. He then continued to sleep till his dad came from work and his mom also arrived at the same time Ihsan was still asleep.   I missed having him around especially when he slept in my arms, sobs..sobs..  I am going to miss that very much.

May you alway remember me Ihsan!!

Raya

9 May 2022 (8 Syawal 1443)

 Yesterday we went Eid visiting to Pak Usu's house.

11am we went to Nasreen's friend house at Perumahan Lumut.  Around 12 noon we went home for zuhr prayer before proceeding to Pak Usu house.

About 10 minutes to reach Pak Usu's house, nenek called.  Since I was driving I can't answer the call.  Bapa tried to answer my hp but he can't seem to answer (not familiar with my handphone).

The third time nenek called, I answer.  She asked if we have left,  I said "yes" and told her we are about to reach Pak Usu's house.  She apparently wanted to follow us but didn't inform us early due to Iring just decided not to go as she has visitors.  We reached Pak Usu house 1.30pm and left about 3pm.  Nenek still didn't arrive by that time.  

We proceed to go to my Aunty Lehot's house (my dad's cousin).  It has been a long time since we see her due to this covid19.  She is sad when I mentioned her sisters who are in Miri and for 2 years she has not seen them. Because Every Eid they always come and visit her.  Land border has not open yet though flight just recently open.

We just wait and see.   May Allah lift this covid19 and enable us to live as normal.

Dear Amira,

Mama have been thinking a lot lately. News of your sudden decision to do further studies at ....... which is at the other side of the world.

This month will determine of your next stage of life.  Your final semester!!  May you succeed with flying colors in whatever that you are doing!

Its a stage where you are to proceed with further education (now having 'conditional offer") or working.

Whatever that you choose and wherever it maybe, we will pray it is the right one.  And may Allah make it easy for you.

Always turn to Allah and talk to Him whenever needed either you have good or bad news.  Always says, "Alhamdulillah."  He is the best planners!  So trust in Him!

My advice as always, do you compulsory prayers, read the Quran, zikir etc.

Khairee

Dear Khairee,

Hope this finds you well.  My one and only Boy!  I still remember you like to hide in the laundry basket from Nigeria! Ha...HA...

This is your second semester!  Do you best and always trust and believe in yourself. Focus in you studies!

Don't overthink the situation especially your assignment!  When it reaches to a stage you don't know what to do, take deep breath and try to list and write it down one by one things you thought so that you can get it more organised.  This should help you see more clearly.  Better still, read a book!  anybook if it can help you be more focus and reflect.

Always turn to Allah and talk to Him! Make dua with commitment!  In Shaa Allah, our plans are the best!

Birthday Bash Ihsan

7 May 2022 (6 Syawal 1443)

We going for a party today!  Whose party?  Its Ihsan 1st birthday gathering at their house in Pandan.

Wow! When we arrived at Ihsan's house, they decorated one of the rooms to become Hundred Aker Wood.  So nice! There were not 1 but 2 birthday cakes!  Beautiful cakes! So yummyyyy!! And somehow to our surprise,  we wore blue also to Ihsan birthday theme balloon color (we didn't know about the color)!! We were told to go casual but since we were going to go to my aunt's (nenek Uda) house, so we wore the Eid dresses.  And we looked and blended so nice when we took the group photos with Ihsan!

We begin the celebration with a prayer.  And Ihsan kept touching the karaoke set.  It was brought my Ihsan dad from his parents house so that we can play the birthday song!!

Opening his gifts was fun! Presents from both grandparents and families!  I like the gift from Ihsan parents where Ihsan photos was converted into a book of pics of Ihsan and closest families.  This book is a precious treasure for Ihsan! Well done to the parents!!

After Ihsan house, we went to nenek Uda (Atok Ayah's sister in law).  Have not seen her since the covid19.  She looks healthy (age 77 years old). And it was really good to see her.

Hari Raya Aidil Fitri - Raya ke2 & k3

May 4 2022 (3 Syawal 1443)

Today we went to Mak Amit and Mak Uda's house for the Eid.  Normally its on 2nd day of Eid.  Somehow this year they changed it.  

Only 2 houses.  As always lots of catching up and we only went to closest family due to covid19.

Some had fun with karaoke, some just sitting playing with their handphones and some talking.

But Ihsan had fun cause he crawled all over and stood at the table to find what fancy him.   He likes Fareeha and likes to disturb her. It is exciting for him since he is going to be 1 year old. He has been a good boy during the Eid festivities.

Syawal

 May 4 2022 (3 Syawal 1443)

Our first day Syawal (Aidil Fitri- Eid)  falls on 2nd May 2022 (1 Syawal 1443).  Everybody was shocked especially we normally have our Eid 1 day after Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.  This year all the same with neighbouring countries i.e. 2nd May 2022 except Singapore.

Ihsan will be 1 year soon in 3 days' time.  He is more alert and looked so cute wearing his baju melayu.  He is not afraid of people and likes to explore.  He has been a good boy during the visits.

Since they moved to Pandan during Ramadhan (April), so the norm for Raya change a bit.  We waited for Ihsan and family to arrive at our house, take group photos then went to Neknda Hj Ranni and Atok at Nek Iring's house.  As always we are the 1st to arrive at Atok's. We didn't gather at my parents house this year.

Though still in covid19, all sop have to follow.  It was a good gathering as we receive gifts...hee...hee

Late afternoon we went to visit my elder sister in KB.  She has dementia and sometimes having difficulty remembering.  Sometimes I wonder among all us siblings, which one of us will go to meet our creator.

May Allah grant us good health  and make things easy for us.  Aamiin.

 

Telinga Hati Tersumbat

Apa agak nya Telinga Hati Tersumbat? 

Semalam ke Facebook Dato Dr Abu Anas Madani. Seperti biasa mendengar tadabbur Al Quran Surah Al Fussilat.  Bila sampai ke tiga perkataan di atas, terus tersentak.  Apa maksud nya?

Dari penjelasan itu saya dapat ambil iktibar bahawa apa pun nasehat orang kepada kita, telinga kita dah tersumbat dan tidak masok apa apa pun nasehat.  Lebih di takuti bila Allah dah beri kita buta hati dan buta telinga.  Semuga kita dijauhi dari orang seperti ini.

Ihsan Shafi'e

7 May 2021 (26 Ramadhan 1442)

Hari yang di nanti nanti kan akhir nya tiba.  Tarikh kegembiraan buat kami sekeluarga di mana kelahiran cucu pertama Ihsan Syafi'e.  Lahir selepas maghrib jam 6.48 malam ( 7 May 2021 bersamaan dengan 26 Ramadhan 1442) dengan berat 3.44kg.

Kita (saya, anak dan menantu) lepas subuh pergi ke hospital. Hospital staff nya mesra dan bilik dah di sediakan dan kami yang menunggu dapat rehat. 

Sebab bulan Ramadhan, jadi apa yang di buat berdoa doa dan doa.  Saya jadi runner untuk anak dan menantu jika ada yang diperlukan disebabkan menantu menemani anak di labour room.  Sekali sekala ada juga dia menjengok kita di bilik.

Anak nampak tenang saja walau dia menunggu untuk melahirkan.

Neknda doakan agar Ihsan Syafi'e menjadi anak yang soleh yang mendoakan kedua orang tua, berjaya dunia dan akhiran serta moga mendapat ilmu yang memberi menafaat.  YA Allah, berikan dia keahlian dalam agamaMU dan ajarkan dia tafsir kitabMU.  Aamiin.

Jejak Palestine

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

salam sejahtera

Dec 2017 adalah tahun yang sangat bermakna buat kami sekeluarga.  Kami sangat bersyukur kerana Allah perkenankan doakan kami untuk ziarah masjid ke-3 yg di syariatkan iaitu Masjid Al Aqsa. 2 tahun sebelum nya kami sudah cuba untuk ke sana, tapi belum diperkenankan.

Kita mengikuti pakage dari Kuala Lumpur Rey-Z, kami 10 orang dan yang lain dari Malaysia.  Teruja ada, berdebar pun ada kerana banyak yang di dengar berkenaan tempat yang di tuju.  Visa kami approved sementara pelawat Malaysia belum ada approval.

Ditakdir kan Allah, kami yg 10 sahaja yg melakukan kembara Palestine ini sementara yg lain menetap d Amman Jordan.  Nikmat yang tak dapat di dustakan.

Apa ada dengan tulisan?

Setelah beberapa tahun tidak masok dalam blog ini, hati di gamit untuk meliat draft tulisan yang di tulis.

Hari ini Sabtu 16 April 2022 ( 14 Ramadhan 1442), titik tolak saya masok balik untuk blog ini.

Hari ini ada hari permulaan bagi saya mengikuti program Sekolah Penulisan Ramadhan 2022.  Saja nak menimba ilmu penulisan.  Tapi....komitmen tu yang buat saya.....

Hari ini baru tahu rupanya tip penulisan dari Dr Hj Ann, kita kena tulis (paksa diti) setiap hari apa apa saja walau setengah muka ada satu muka.  

Semuga Allah permudahkan dan memberi ilham bagi penulisan ini. Aamiin
