JPMC

 16 May 2022 (15 Syawal 1443)

Today we (Ihsan, Aqeela & me) went to JPMC.  We left 6.45am and arrived around 7.45am.  I was anxious about parking space due to we are on endemic stage and people starting to go back to work as normal.  If parking full, I have to drop them off  while I go back to the parking lot and go use the shuttle bus.

Alhamdulillah, after registering, we waited to be called.  After all the necessary documentation and questions, Aqeel then went to ground floor for her x-Ray.  Ihsan & I remained on 1st floor and after his mom left he fell asleep.  After we saw the Dr and get the document for the Visa, we left JPMC to go to town.  Ihsan was asleep all the way to town to go for breakfast.

Ihsan was very good.

We went for lunch at Country Patch.  Ihsan saw kids and he was excited to see them.  Even though he was eating, he looked at them and say something which I can't make head or tail what it was.  Baby talk!

We reached home near to 2pm

Had a good outing with Ihsan and Aqeela today.  Alhamdulillah!

Visa Outing

25 May 2022 (24 Syawal 1443)

Today Ihsan, Aqeel and I left home for BSB for UK visa appointment around 0645.  We left early to avoid traffic.  Fortunately since we were early, the visa centre in town center at PGGMB building, was easy to get to.  We arrived 30 minutes early.  That was the building where we did our visa for umrah in 2019.

Since it is early, so we went to the balcony to watch tamu Kianggeh, Brunei River, and the boats and cars passing by.  We also saw the new bridge i.e Sg Kebun Bridge.  Of course, we also took some pictures to remember us by.  Very nice view.

It took awhile at the visa centre.  Even though Aqeel had uploaded the necessary documents, when applied she has included the payment for scanning the printouts, so they did on her behalf.

Ihsan of course seeing new surrounding, he wanted to look around.  I had to go back to the car to get the stroller,  Ihsan so heavy.  With the stroller I walked him around while waiting.  I brought him to the balcony couple of times so that he won't get bored.  While inside the visa centre, Aqeel fed him. During that time, the staff had done the scanned and upload, and wanted to take picture of Ihsan.  He was so sleepy and we had to wake him up.  Poor Ihsan!  It took a while to wake him up,

They informed no fast track now for visa as now the regulations is about 6 weeks to get approved.  May Allah make it easy for Aqeel & Ihsan's applications.  Aamiin.

After all done, we went for breakfast.  Trying to go to Gadong area but, car parking full.  So I droved to Country Patch and we had our breakfast.  Ihsan was asleep once we left the visa centre and carried him inside the restaurant and put him in the stroller.  Funny thing is, when the food arrived, he woke up!!  He ate with us and enjoyed it!!

A good outing today.

We have another outing with grandpa and Mushu, In Shaa Allah.

p/s visa Ihsan finally got approved first week of August 2022.

0418 hours

Melaka Afamosa Feb 2006 - elephant called Ah Moi

Born the longest among your siblings at 53cm in length, second heaviest at 2.89kg, you were born at 0418 hours on 11th May 1999 (25 Muharam 1420 hijrah).

I had no complications whatsoever during my pregnancy.  Though I actually had one miscarriage on my fourth pregnancy after returning home during holidays from Nigeria.  I think I was three months pregnant when I had the miscarriage.

Your were my fifth pregnancy.  Through out my pregnancy we were in Nigeria as your father and I were crossposted there.  Alhamdulillah, I had no morning sickness.  I just went for the regular pre natal check up.  When I realised I was pregnant I was thinking where would I give birth.  There were also the airline regulations that pregnant ladies 7 months and above are not allowed to travel.  We were thinking of how best when the situation arises.  We aslo asked around those who were crosposting.  All had the opinion that it would be better to give birth in own country.  Luckily enough it was our final year in Nigeria and the timing for our plan to return home to our country was just nice i.e when I was under seven months pregnant.

Though sad leaving our second home, it was time to go home.  On our final year, we stopped over in Aberdeen and went to Glanshee.  I remember going to Glanshee, the road was winding and Aqeel vomitted in the car.  The kids went on the sledge and it was cold.  It was slippery and I fell.  Alhamdulillah, I was ok.  I think we spent abour a week there.  After Aberdeen, we stopped over in Kuala Lumpur and stayed a couple of days.

when we reached home, we stayed at the guest house for one week as our house needed cleaning up.  Arrangements for Kakak, Jie Jie and Abg for their schooling was also arranged.  Kakak went straight to Primary 2, Jiejie KG3, while Abg went to KG2.  All went to the same school i.e CCMS.  Still, they needed time to adjust.

I worked for a few months before giving birth on May 11 1999.  13 years had passed, I still feel as if in a dream having you as my daughter.  Alhamdulillah to Allah's creation.  May you always be guided by Allah.  Amin

XBOX 360 and KINECT!!

Assalam,
XBOX 360 & KINECT

Kita test the player.  Nak beli benda macam ni pun kena sabar sebab memakan masa, sehingga kaki dan belakang saya sakit dek berdiri terlalu lama.  Saya pun mencari tempat duduk.

Suami kerja.  Aqeel and Nasreen tak nak ikut. Kadang kadang saya minta pandang Khairee.

Sabtu 24hb Dis 2011, saya kedengaran bunyi teriakan Aqeel. Tiap kali alien itu dekat, Aqeel pause the game.  Dia main dengan Khairee. Saya takut bukan kerana meliat alien itu, tapi disebabkan terkejut dek teriakan Aqeel.  Nasreen di kerusi sebelah pun cemas tengok game ni.  Lepas tu saya tinggalkan mereka bertiga bermain di situ.  Akhir akhir ni lepas jam 5 petang mereka bertiga main badminton di taman.

Buat Amira, they wait for your return to play with you.

Kepada anak anak semua, main game tu berpatutan ya.  Solat jangan tinggal. Semuga anak anak pandai seimbangkan waktu.

Sleep Over

Assalam,

With the coming of the end of Ramadhan, the kids are on school holidays.  Yesterday three of kids went to sleep over at their cousin's house (Amirul) in the city, while Khairee stayed behind as he is having tuition and to study for his O level.  Last nite, looking at Khairee sitting next to me, he was not studying but playing games on the laptop.  What am I going to do with you Khairee?  The O level exams is just around the corner.  I hope he knows what he is doing.

I am actually  missing my three babies.  Funny how my youngest Nasreen said, "Ma, I am not a baby anymore.  I am twelve years old."  I told her and all my kids that, "No matter how old you are, even if you are fifty years old, you are still my babies!"  True isn't, to mothers out there.

May you kids have an enjoyable stay with Mak Wa & family.  Take care!

Jalan Jalan

Assalam,

Khamis 18 Ogos 2011

Oleh kerana ia cuti awam, kita sekeluarga mengambil kesempatan ziarah kubur sebelah suami di ibu kota.  Ramai sekali orang di tanah perkuburan.  Kita pergi 3 tempat perkuburan. Tetapi anak anak berkesempatan meliat reptiles exhibition.  See pics below:

Khairee

Khairee 1+ year

Port Harcourt 1998 - Rumukuroshe club

The third among the sibllings, you weigh 2.55kg, 48cm in length and born on 25 March 1995 (23 Syawal 1415 hijrah) at 0239 hours.  You are the third heaviest and longest among yuor siblings.  Your are now 16 years of age.

I had early contractions than expected and your dad rushed us to the hospital.  I was admitted straight away at the maternity ward and the sister brought the ECG to monitor the baby.  When I saw the graph on the monitor, there were supposed to be two lines but there were only one.  This I noticed every time the contractions appeard.  The sister brought the IV drip.  I asked, "Why?"  She said, "precaution."  I already felt something was wrong but dismissed the thought.

After examing me, they found out the placenta cord was at the opening.  So they asked me to lay down on my left side (facing the wall) hoping that the cord will move to the side eventually.

I think it was only about 15 minutes then, when I heard footsteps running.  All the nurses were rushing here and there.  I called out to them to ask why.  They said, "We had emergency."  In those days, whenever there were any casualties or emergencies, all the nurses in the maternity ward would handle the situation.

Since I laid on my side and facing the wall, I couldn't see them but I just shouted to them not to leave me alone.  They said, "Don't worry.  It is ok." I found out that, that nite there were car accidents involving how many cars I don't know.  One family (a family of 8 or 9) who were involved in the accidents had serious fatalities (2 died, 2 had to be sent by chopper to Hospital in the capital), others at the operating theatre emergency and some at the next ward.  All the doctors were called out to attend to the emergency.  Every now and then one of the nurses took turn to check on me.

It was the longest night for me as I was wondering and wondering...hardly sleeping during the nite.  I saw the nurses and doctors came to the maternity ward after they had taken care of the emergency.  I saw them talking then the doctor came to check on me.

He told me at my condition they would performed the C-section the same morning.  If they didn't do it soon my baby would not survive as it lacked oxygen every time the contractions started due to the head was pinning on the cord.  I then asked them to informed my husband.  I could only pray that everything would be alright.

They prepared me for the emergency and pushed me to the operating theatre. So it was at 0239 hours that you, Khairee, were born after all the chaos during the nite.  It really scared me.  I woke up around 9am and your dad was near my bed.  I asked about the baby?  Your dad said: "It was a healthy baby boy."  I was so thankful.  I didn't get to see you immediately and just trusted your dad's words.  But when I finally saw you later that day, you were so cute and your head was fully rounded.  You looked so calm.  We were both lucky as all the docotrs were there to bring you to this world that particular morning.  A blessing in disguise.  But my heart goes to those families who lost their loved ones.

0213 hours - Aqeela

~  Look at You  ~

Born 04/11/1993

Taken 1996 during Hari Raya - Aqeel at 2 years 3 months

You were the heaviest and the 2nd longest among your siblings and the only one born the normal way.  You were named Aqeela and the second among your siblings of four.  Your skin is white, your hair as dark as nite, dark round eyes and you were and are still cute.  You still have that mischievious smile!!  Just look at the pics above, it says it all!!

I had contractions coming on and off the week before you were born.  I waited until the timing of the contractions 10 minutes apart only then your dad and I went to the hospital.  At the maternity ward, the sisters got things ready and monitored me and made the necessary check up.  Since this was my first experience to give birth the normal way, they told me to listen to the midwife ( I still remember she is sister Jackie)who guided me during labour.  The prenatal breathing exercises did help as well.  But sometimes due to the pain, I forgot about the breathing.

Once in the labour room, I remember when the contractions were a few minutes apart, while you were still in the tummy, you were impatiently pushing to come out.  But the midwife told me to hold because they want to make sure your neck was free from the cord.   But I cannot hold as you were eager to come out.  So, Aqeel, remember to learn to be PATIENT in life.

Your dad has the experience of being there at the labour room when you were born.  No doctors this time as there was no complications.  And I had the experience of giving birth the normal way unlike the other three.  I can tell you the pain was excruciating.  In fact, I can still feel it!..No wonder we were told that "Syurga adalah di bawah telapak kaki ibu".  The amount of $$$$$$ can never repay for the pain and the 9 months 10 days of carrying a baby in the tummy.  And you know what? It is every mother's prayers and wishes during pregnancy and when the baby is born that it is healthy, cukup sifat, and that it gets to grow and live longer and be successful in their lives and have family of their own.  The prayers from parents are ENDLESS.

To Amira, please do not feel bad as I didn't manage to include your baby pics in the blog I did earlier.  You are still LOVED all the same (I steal this expression from you Aqeel)!Insya Allah will do so next time as I am still new in "blogging"!

Aqeel,  during my pregnancy, I had the normal morning sickness and active in sports.  I even played netball.  When you were a baby, it was easy to take care of you as you only cry when you need to be fed and/or cleaned.  You were quite observant even at a younger age.  I remember when you were in PHC, your teacher (forgot her name - now moved to Canada) called YOU her shadow coz you kept following her where ever she went.  Will write about this in the months to come......

So Aqeel, at 0213 hours weighing 2.98kg at 52cm long YOU were born on 4th November 1993 (19 Jamadilawal 1414 hijrah).  That was how you come into our lives.

signing off......

First Born - Amira

2010 - Amira's 18th Birthday at Fratini

2010 - at Sugar Bun May 2nd

18th years had passed and YOU were the 1st born among your siblings of four, the eldest amongst the cousins from your dad side of the family and the smallest in weight when born at 1.65kg.

I had no complications during pregnancy only the morning sickness for about 3 months.  It all change one day before my maternity leave during the pre natal checkup, they found that my feet was swollen, my headache come and go.  The next day I was admitted straight away.

I remember  it was a Thursday 20/02/1992 I was admitted in the ward and in the morning of Friday 21/02/1992 Dr Boulind came to check on me.  I told him I can't see and I asked him was it day time or nite time.  How can I not see him when he was just in front of me.  When he said day time, I knew something was wrong but didnt know it was serious. During my early pregnancy he mentioned that 1 in 10000 pregnancies, first time mothers will experience Preaclamsia.  I didn't think much about it because I don't have the symtoms.

After the examination, all I know footsteps were rushing and running and that I was told that I was being prepared to go to OT (Operating Theatre).

Everything happened so fast and they informed my hubby and all I know after signing the consent form, I was rushed to the operating theatre.  When I came round, I was in the maternity ward already.

My first born was named Amira born at 9.20am Friday 21/02/1992 (17 Syaban 1412 hijrah).  I came to around noon.  All I asked my hubby was if the baby was ok.  It was a girl very small and was put in the incubator.    I didn't know how small as I didn't get see the baby until after two days.

I remember I had tidy droplets on my face when I saw here in the incubator so tiny so helpless.  Even her mouth is so small that she need tube to drink her milk.   The sisters (Alice was one of the nurses looking after her) called her " Little mouse" coz she was so tiny.  And they called me Elephant Legs - coz after the birth my legs were still swollen due to water retention.

So, my dear Amira, that is how you came into our lives.  May you succeed in your future undertakings and be blessed always...amin
