Pedas White Water Rafting & Twin Island 2010

Day 4 - Returning to Home sweet Home

25 November 2010 was the day to leave KK.  Somehow there was miscommunication of the timing for the travel agent to pick us up to go to airport.  But all in all, we had a good time.  After checking in, the kids went around the airport, some buy chocolates, some just looking around etc.  While waiting to board the plane, I gave out the certificates for the rafting at the airport.

Pedas White Water Rafting & Twin Island 2010

Day 2 - onward journey for White Water Rafting

23 Nov 2010 - the magic happened here

Halfway to Tenom, our vans stopped and the guide asked us do we want to see magic?  The driver stopped the van, and on its own the van moved backward as if being pulled  by a magnet (see above pic) .  During haj last year, the Mutawif from our package also brought us to see this magic between mountain.  When asked the guide what is the caused, they were unable to explain.  Maybe the government has not really study it.  Who knows???

Lunch at Tenom before boarding local train to Pangi Statin

Tenom Train staion
We stopped at Tenom for lunch.  Then boarded a 50+ years diesel local train from Tenom station to Pangi station. From there we went to a nearby compound for safety briefing before we proceed with rafting.  The guide giving the safety talk was entertaining and funny and serious at the same time.  Though some of the kids were afraid of what to come during the rafting, but the way the guide gave the briefing, made them wanting to try the challenge.  We went on two rafts, one with 11 people, and the other one with 10 people.  It was really, really exciting!!  It involved team spirit, team work, listening skills, and supporting one another through out.  Most of all, we all had FUN!!!

Pangi Rain Station - Just arrived

The kids will remember these for the rest of their lifes

A life time experience - Glad to be there to experience it with my kids

half way down the river we had a swim B4 continuing with rafting
